About Us
Nicole, originally from
Durban, Kwazulu-Natal came up with the idea of her Out Of Africa Kids after her second son was born in 2005. When ever she made the trip home, she brought wonderful South African children’s clothing from a number of outlets within South Africa not only for both her boys Duncan aged 5 and
Logan aged 2 but also for her friends children.
“Everyone Kept commenting on the clothing my boys were wearing, especially the bright colours and how different they were, so each trip that I made back home, I brought them as gifts.”
Reality of the business only came to fruition in January 2007, when she decided that she had to show off these wonderful clothes to the rest of the
UK and start her own business importing them.
I have a number of other labels up my sleeve as well as some beautifully made children’s shoes which should be part of my collection from July 2008 onwards. I would like you to take the journey with me and encourage you to have a look at my collection and enjoy the bright colours and experience a bit of
South Africa with me.
Our fair trade cotton children’s clothing is made in a fair trade factory in
South Africa with locally sourced premium cotton. Being locally sourced it does not travel across the world to be made into the garment, which is far better for the environment. Absolutely no child labour is allowed and each and every employee is paid an excellent wage and is given full maternity rights and protection.
